Rock Chips - Removing/Preventing?
how do i get these chips or scratches off of the hood of my car? is there a wax or some solution that i can apply to take them out?
as you can see, i compared them to a dime so you can get a rough estimate of the size of the chip
also, what can i do to prevent this from happening in the future? i dont want to get a car bra, that is ugly lol

I have heard but not tried it, that you can apply touchup paint, let it dry, then buff it until the surface is smooth. If you do a good job you should not be able to see the chip anymore.
This is obviously dependent on how well the touch-up paint matches, but if the mitsu one isn't too good, there are some companies out there that make "custom matched" touch-up paint in the pen dispenser or in bottles.

I've used LANGKA and it works well for smoothing and removing the common "blob" of paint from repairing rock chips. http://www.langka.com/
Then, I would definitely recommend some paint protection film. The only brands I would go with are LLumar or 3M, being a clear bra and window tint installer myself. The LLumar has a very, very, transparent, glossy finish. The 3M film has been known to last 15+ years on vehicles, but also has a slight orange peel finish to it. Also, when you get the hood done, make sure you get the tips of the fenders done as well. They are normally included, but some shops cheap out.
