Please forgive my ignorance, however, the search bar and google have not been able to assist me. What exactly is BBY? BBY is said to be Blue By You in the EVOM vocab thread but that doesn't help me much. Was there a poll of what color mmc should make or something?

 

Ummm I am not real sure what you are trying to understand but BBY(Blue By You) was the color for 03-04 Evo 8's. For the 05-07 Evo IX's it was Electric Blue, and for the 08-current X's I believe it is Octane Blue. Just different shades of Blue with different names bro.

What I mean is "Blue By You" isn't a color on the color chart. Its a pretty random name for a color, there isn't some meaning behind it?

 

I don't believe so. Like Tarmac Black or Rally Red... just a name with a number assigned to it; As far as I know I could be wrong, it happens.

 

I believe Saul is right. Even though we refer to it as "Blue By You" I don't believe it's official name from Mitsubishi is Blue By You. When I went down to my local paint store a few months ago to get some touch up paint the official name they had for it was actually "Pacific Blue" and I think the paint code was T10 but I don't remember for sure. Either way, I still prefer to call it BBY but I just wanted to clarify.
