Relocated my battery to the trunk pics!

Relocated my battery to the trunk pics!

relocated my battery to the trunk. i think the small batteries were just having issues, they kept dieing on me. so i went with the optima red top. i used 4 gauge wire but i think that im going to switch to 2 gauge. i ran the positive battery cable through the driver side fender and came into to cab through the rubber piece thats under the dash next to the clutch pedal then ran it to the trunk under the door panels. and yes, i am going to cut the threaded rods down.

Omg i was going to do exactly the same small batteries just isn't for me. If u don't mind me asking where did u get the frame for the battery or did u make it? Thanks!

Nice post. Always wondered how you run the wires

Did you not install it on the wrong side? Most re-locates put them to the passenger side

really loving that battery box, just a word of concern, the previous owner of my TB VIII did the same(relocated to trunk), im not sure about the quality of cable but my car takes 3-4 seconds to crank, i think i am losing power over the distance.i replaced the starter thinking that was the problem. i'm installing a capacitor under the hood to help it out.

Almost did the same thing on mine. But got lazy and just bought another mini. Props for doing it.
