I've done a few tails--not the black out, but tinting them red to look like EVO7 tails. The job is a bear if you want to get it perfect. It is very easy to screw up--crack something, etc.
Also, Mistu used hot glue from the factory. I ended up doing the same. It cost me a bit more, but should be better. The hot glue is industrial strength.

Hey I am not trying to be a jerk, but can't/don't you simply spray the taillight with a red tint spray??
