Take a look at the JDM front bumper under the emblem. It sticks out a lot more than the USDM:

Yes it's the MR. If you look closely at the 2 vents under the front grill and compare it to your car you will notice that the JDM goes back deeper, or it sticks out further.

 

yup it sure is hard to tell the difference, but i see it now. also check out the nose. it sticks out too.

 

The rims on the MR look very similar to the OZ Superlegera, I'm not a 100% sure that they are OZs but very confident, although I might be wrong.

 

The USDM have a bumper beam which JDM doesnt have , thats why

 

Er, I think that's just the angle.

The Evo8 grille was specifically designed for "worldwide production," as in, it was designed specifically to hold the bumper beam. The front bumper should be the same.

The rear bumper is different, I hate the USDM bubbly one.. the angular JDM one fits much better.

 

What your seeing behind the bumper in the 2 upper vents is the black foam insert. I know because I removed mine in an effort to mount a laser defuser....it's about 2 inches deep.

The fronts the same. If you think it looks different it's just the angle. The rear bumper is different though. I think the US rear bumper looks better. It matches the angles of the front bumper better than the JDM rear

 

No way there different. Look at the Mitsu. badge. There is a much sharper angle going up the center of it that blends more with the hood. Maybe its just an 03 04 difference. I'd like to compare it with a RS.

 

The angle of the front of the white one makes it look different. I am looking at my Evo right now out the window from the same angle as the MR and it is the SAME slope. The pic of the white one almost looks straight up and down..look at your Evo and you will see the same slope as the top pic (MR).
