Monster Sport Ti Exhaust Review

I just making a review for the amazing and rare titanium exhaust for Evo 9 from the Rally team competitor and the world record breaker of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Monster Sport.

This exhaust is made to order so you definitely know that the finished product is hand crafted specifically for your vehicle, in other words, not mass produced. The exhaust will be built in Japan and usually takes about 3 weeks to finish the product. If you purchased it from them directly, it's a lot quicker to get to your doorstep. If you buy it from a online shop carrier it might take a while (4 months in my case), but shipping will be cheaper.

NOTE:
-This Exhaust is only made for JDM rear bumper (If you have USDM, it will be short)
-Does not have O2 sensor bung unless you ask them to put one.

Here it is.

After picking it up from the shipping company, the box was too big for the car so I decided to get rid of the box. The exhaust was still wrapped with bubble wrap generously. They also provided me with a gasket.

After the getting rid of a ton of bubble wraps (took me about 10 min), The exhaust as also wrapped with this blue film to make sure that their art is scratchless when the customer receives it (so you can jump your happy b**t up and down).

The craftsmanship of this exhaust is amazing. The welds are an art itself.

Even the hangers were burnt for an artistic look.

I didn't have any weighing scale where I was replacing the pipe but I can tell you one thing, it is almost weightless as expected from a full titanium from both ends.

This is how the fitment looks like on the JDM bumper I say this again, this exhaust was made ONLY for JDM bumpers.

This is what the tip looks like from the bumper when the car is off the lift.

It is definitely louder even with my Apex high flow cat. Compared with my previous Evo 8 with HKS Carbon Ti, it is still definitely louder. The exhaust have a deep tone and gets deeper as the RPM increases. It tells the other cars around you that the car is not just for show and you mean business.

I hope this review helped and informative to all

Here's the sound clip. Unfortunately I do not have a HD camera so it is not very clear.

This part of the video is when I was driving from 2K rpm to 3k rpm. After slowing down, I slowly step pen on the gas at first gear.

After driving the car for a few days. I notice a better response from the engine even at 2k rpm. It felt like the car wants to go faster even when you are going easy on the gas. My car is currently pushing 310WHP/289trq. I will be installing NGK spark plugs tonight and 255 Walboro fuel pump tomorrow and hopefully get a tune/dyno in a couple of days. I'll let you know the results

Beautiful exhaust! A full titanium exhaust has a very distinctive note to it, doesn't sound like anything else out there.

Here's the company for your info.

http://monster-sport.com/e/index.html

They also compete with WRC and they are the one who broke the record of Rhys Millen in the colorado Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

Is that a "bottle neck/step down" or resonator?

Craftsmanship looks amazing. That is a beautiful piece. Congrats

As far as weight, I know my Greddy Ti is 13.x lbs. So I would think this one is prob in the same range.

That's hot! i have a trust titanium catback and they sound like no other. It actually looks ok at the back maybe because you have the 9 rear bar which is more open at the exit point compared to the 8 bar.

I'm pretty sure that's a bottleneck at the flange. The Greddy Ti's do that too.

definitely a bottleneck unless they have some ridiculous skinny resonator (they dont)

for a custom-made exhaust (and i'm assuming you paid a pretty penny) that's a bit...tacky..
