still waiting for oil pressure gauge, but i did the boost and egt. Taking the exhaust manifold off is a big PITA, but I got it without damaging the radiator.

Man, how come nobody makes one that lets the D-gauge bezels stay? I like the look of the bezels!!

Hi asdf- i think it is funny that we both have the exact same setup, same gauges and even the same head-unit.

zstryder- my setup is very similar to what he has only i have the bezels still on. do a search for "my new gauge setup" and you will find pics.

What can I say? Great minds think alike? I liked your setup. The D-gauge was the only choice for me, and it came down to 3 headunits, but the Alpine had the best reviews. One of the factors was the v-drive amp built in. I wish it had a red display. I don't and won't have any subs or amps though.

I got my gauges to dim with the stock gauges, but there is one fluke. Below 6.5 volts, the stepper motors shut down and if you adjust the brightness the needle position changes-so you have to shut down the gauge so it will calibrate with the brighness setting you are on, and you can't go below about 6.5 volts with the dimmer control or the gauge registers zero.

Man, how come nobody makes one that lets the D-gauge bezels stay? I like the look of the bezels!!
I went without the bezels so that I could have the guages countersunk into the ac control bezel for the ultimate stock look. With the bezels on, the gauges would have been too far apart to fit into the rectangle hole in the dash. I also went without the gauge bezels because the speedometer, and tach have silver surrounds- just like the d-gauge without the bezel on. Total time I spent with the bezel was probably upwards of 48 hrs.
