Evo VIII blue seats painted black. Sound deadening removed. Floors Painted.
Stayed in halloween weekend and finally got my mini project finished.
Total hours from cleaning --> stripping interior --> Sound deadening removal --> painting --> 4 layers of clear coating --> putting everything back = approximately 12hrs of work. Not including down time with beer and drying.
Vinyl spray can paint on seats. All seats. -3 cans.
Enamel spray can paint on floors. - 5 cans.
Total cost about $60.
This is a quick solution and it turned out pretty good. I know this is not a $1000 whole interior professional car paint. But this is a good solution for now.
$60 vs $1000. I think I'll take the $60. and save the $940 on engine/suspension builds.
Before:
After:
And all the other areas where sound deadening was removed then painted.

after the paint. the painted part of the seats becomes a lil bit more "hard" and "crispy."
but im sure after sitting on a it a few time it will break the crystal bonds of the paint and soften up again.
And sitting on it, paint will NOT rub off.
