I would start by talking to a local powdercoat shop.

there's actually a few reasons i haven't gone local for this type of thing.

a: there are only two people locally who powder coat. i have bad blood with one of them over damaging $4000 in MTB frames(Intense M1 & very rare Spooky Metalhead ) and denying it, i hear not-so-great things about the other

b: soda-blasting or chemically stripping: i don't know anyone locally who does either

c: i am going to have to order an Evo 7 valve cover online anyway, may as well just have it drop shipped to a powdercoater

d: if i have to give money to someone i don't know or trust, i'd i'd rather give the business to someone who comes highly recommended and supports this community.

thanks for the tips tho guys

Is Tirado Coatings still active here? He'd be my best bet for dealing with someone online.

it's a little more green than your helmet, at least from the pictures, but it does have a very cool effect.

That does look pretty slick on chrome with the yellow top coat. Hmmm
