Darkn3s: CLEAN 3 gauge pod option

A buddy and I were looking at different options out there for a gauge pod to be able to hold 3 gauges (52mm) and there weren't that many options out there. We were just looking for the following:

A. clean and looks OEM'ish
B. will not kill your pockets $$$

so we found agency's CF pod that was in a perfect location under the HVAC but the price was pretty damn expensive for a just a gauge pod. So we said F that idea and designed our own..

All work was done in a 2013 MR (Bimmerman03) and you are still able to access the AUX, cig and ash tray

let me know what you guys think

....

We decided to go with a 22awg sheet of metal (not the prettiest bends but it was all going to get wrapped anyway so that didnt matter much)

test fit

Fitment passed so we went ahead and drilled out our 3 52mm holes

test fitted the gauges (these gauges are for testing purposes only )

Looks good to me!

and now its wrapped (Carbon fiber 3m vinyl)

not bad, but i have my gauges mounted down that low and they're relatively useless as you can't just glance at them while driving, you have to really focus on them, which requires a wide open road

I would personally like them up higher too but the work you guys did looks great! The gauges look like they belong there.

thanks man unfortunately there were no other spots we could do something like this a little higher without hacking up the dash or relocating a few things. not like the evo 8/9.. we have ALOT of options

Made another one out of aluminum to see if we could get the bends better using a bending brake to space out the gauges a litttle more.. the first one wouldnt allow us to use the Prosport Evo Series gauges because the bezels were a little too thick
