Has the HKS turbo surged on you a lot? Does the HKS spool a lot better than a BBK Full?

I think he means from a dd standpoint as far as functionality goes.

That is one of the issues I have had with this turbo. But it only occurs during high gear in low rpm and you go partial throttle. I have heard some do anti surge covers and mess with the tune a bit to get away from it. But as for me I have lived with it no problem ever since the turbo came out. Also the way I drive it I never really see those conditions anymore.

As for spooling better than the bbk full(I am assuming you are referring to the bb turbos). From what others have reported you will see about 200rpm quicker spool. Not a lot of difference and I think you would be happy with both turbos either way. CBRD makes a good product too. It may even be easier to deal with since they are based here in the US. Again all personal preference on which one you want.

Thanks for the feed back. I like the HKS turbo for the quick spool and torque it puts out, but I think my car will be mostly street driven so surge is a concern for me.

I am barely in town due to work so I barely get a chance to enjoy it at the moment. Perhaps one day.

Talk to Mike at Evasive and ask about me. Come back here and tell me its "foltex."

As for any updates, the car is currently undergoing a complete custom cage, which will also feature hans device, and safety net. It is also undergoing the air jack suspension by Pegasus racing supplies. These are the exact same units all used in the IMSA and Grand Am teams. Another thing is I am getting my rear wing chassis mounted. I should have some teaser pics in a month or so.

I am very excited to get all this done. Hopefully shortly after all that is completed my custom Bride seats as well as my new voltex goodies arrive and I can start the process of integrating that stuff into the car. Should be an interesting process...
