As soon as that turbo gives up on its life I am switching to a much smaller unit. For the track I run about 420whp, or as low as the power will go.

Fp. Xona there small one on a 63 hotside. The 3586 is cool but I never use that much power. I daily the car around at the lowest power setting and it is more fun to drive with less power. Car should be about 2700lbs so it does not need a lot to f power to roll

Power on the STi? Does having competing brands drive some competition between the both of you? I think that's pretty cool that you both have the cars that you do.

STI is right about 450whp for the track. It is running a destroked long rod 2.34l with 10:1 compression on E85, and can rev to 8700rpm. He has an FP Black on it, that has been rotated.

We are both on AEM Infinities because I tune the .

For me I have a great deal of respect for the STI's and the EVO's. They are more or less the same damn car, but the stis are just more expensive to make power. Motor builds are crazy on STI's. The stock ECU on the sti is a crazy batch of stuff, I like the evos stock ecu, but I prefer standalone. The standalone just makes life easy, and I have all the failsafes I can handle.

We both try to get out to the track as much as we can, he has more time than I do, so with more seat time comes a better driver. He is also willing to drive his car a lot harder than me. He has also already totaled an STI before .

Walk away, and hiked back up the 1000 feet he rolled that thing down the mountian. No major injuries.

Hey Keith! Both cars are looking great. Looks like you've done some significant changes to your EVO in the past few years. I don't know if you recall but you helped me tuned my EVO a few years back; we had to stop when a coolant line to the turbo blew off and I lost coolant. I'm still on the AEM EMS V1 but I've been looking at upgrading - looks like you're still tuning and have made the switch to the mighty infinity unit.

Yep I remember.

Ya I swithed to the infinity a while ago. It has been a huge upgrade over the series one. I dont even have a wideband in my car. I just pull logs every once and a while to make sure everything is on point. Car is running awesome.

How is yours running, are you still stock block?
