Great vid . Thanks for sharing. I actually thought MJ was for “Mary Jane” .

I am a little confused though. You totaled the black Evo and used the parts as donor for the white Evo . But why install the white Evo parts into the totaled black chassis ?

There is no mention of me installing the stock White Evo components onto the Black Evo. The Black Evo was completely stripped of all usable parts. The chassis was totaled beyond repair as you
can see from the pictures. Shortly after the Black Evo was stripped, I had it towed to a local scrap heap where a shady junk yard owner actually bought the chassis. For all I know that car could have
been put back together, who knows. All the stock White Evo components that were removed were sold, some I kept. Complete history of the build can be accessed at the link in my signature. Thanks!

Oh ok. Sorry I miss understood. I just re-watched that part of the vid. Originally when I was watching it i paused for a min a little after you mentioned gutting the black car and then when I continued I heard you say swapped parts. I was thinking a two way “exchange of parts between the two cars” instead of one way as I forgot you mentioned gutting it earlier.

Have you considered getting a JDM rear bumper ?

No worries, just wanted to clear the air so there's no confusion.

There is a lot of Evo's with JDM bumpers. I want to be different and stay OG.

love this video and a great history. Your evo is beautiful. Id throw on a jdm rear but i understand wanting the "og" look. I couldn't agree more about the car defining who you are, almost a material reflection of yourself. Its incredible the feeling of building and driving these machines. I love all cars too but think the evo 8/9 is the most incredible of cars out there. Your situation with the accident resonated with me, lost my '04 RS in a similar way. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Nice video Ozzie!! Love the story with the exception of your black evo8 being totaled, at least you were able to salvage a lot of the performance mods!!
