my car & dad's new baby
So after owning a 1984 911 carerra for 15 years, my dad finally decided to take a leap into the 21st century and swap it for a 2004 GT3! He really deserves it with all his hard work. Here is a shot of it lined up to my Evo. Think I could take him? I got a ride in it and i was grinning from ear to ear. I can't wait till I get the go to take it for a spin.
Heres another pic of me kickin some major *** at Pocono raceway
Well thats all for now and i will post another pic of my car with the new bronze 5Zigens as soon as I get the lug nuts.
Later,

Hopefully I'll get some of the footage of us eating up a GT3 two weekends back. The modded 911 Turbo was a smidge quicker though.. But Evo = 2 passangers + laptop, both Porsches just driver..

Theres a couple more pics to be found here

and BTW....you can talk about beating a GT3 on the track all you want but if its in the hands of a good driver.....there is no way it would lose. If you had 400 hp in the Evo like the GT3 does, you would need to upgrade the brakes, the suspension, and the tires to accomodate for this. With bothe cars driven at 10/10ths there is no way teh Evo would win...sorry to say as much as i love my car.

Evo Mike - coilovers, Full 18"Yokohama Slicks, 500AWHP, full upgraded 2 piece alumium hat rotors, brake ducts, lots of titanium., even more weight loss. and the GT3 and Turbo *AND* Evo were all well driven.
I know their is a way the Evo would smoke em. We're just sorting out the suspension right now. By mid July it should be "set" for this particular circuit.
And there is plenty of Aero "fixes" we're working on.. pics at bottom of this might tip off a few things..

EAT THEM WORDS BABY!! hehe. yah there are a lot of arm chair posers floating about though. It would be nice to get a lot of them out to the track to understand what "REAL" track racing is like and what it takes to run with some serious hardware.. modded 911 Turbos on slicks, and trying to run lap times similar to formula atlantics, etc. and keep it reliable.
In the wonderful 96'F in the shade heat two weekends ago we ran 6 45+ min sessions, so the Evo (and a few mods) are still keeping true to being one heck of a workhorse.
It is nice to have a $30k car with two folks run down some $100k+ rides solo driven though. We wanted to get two folks in back to moon some folks as we passed em, but our friends instructing weren't sure they could allow it, though they thought it would be funny too.
BTW Nice rides! Are we going to get some track footage soon of the two of them?
