I was thinking of some 6 1/2 MB Quart seperates both front and rear, a decent 400 watt 4- channel amp, and maybe one 12" sub, maybe a nice JL Audio with at least 300 watts RMS for the sub. I already have a decent Alpine deck now.

i'm working on my system. its made to be as light as possible with the best sound quality available. i'm going to be using focal 165k2p components in the front and focal 165cv full ranges in the back. powering them will be a memphis belle 16-st1600d 5 channel amp (which combines two bigger amps into one smaller lighter amp) and a rockford fosgate digital cap. i'll also be running a eclipse titanium sw9122 sub in custom removable fiberglass box (a very small one in the corner in front of the washer fluid compartment). i'm using a pioneer 8600 and 12 disk changer for my source at the moment.

No spare tire. Fiberglass tub. Raised up from floor about 3 inches. Amps are mounted behind panel on back of seat. Lost about 6 inches from seat. Trunk is still useable for all purposes. Can even fit small stroller too! Bass response is fine. Still breaking in subs. Waiting for a little more output.

Running stock speakers with my clarion all in one 7" dvd/mp3/cd player. No extra weight on the car but still sounds nice and watching DVDs when your bored waiting for parking rocks.

Replaced fronts with components; dynamat the doors; Jl audio sub box in the rear armrest area, and 2 amps in the back. I think I added 50 lbs total including all the wiring. 5 lbs for the new speakers, 20lbs for the sub box and subs, 15 lbs for the amps, 5 lbs for all the new wiring, and 5 lbs for the dynamat.
