i believe the JDM front bumper will not fit over the US crashbar.

That was the original reason/excuse for the delayed delivery of the USDM evo's

Installing the JDM rear bumper will require the removal of the USDM rear bumper beam.

That rear bumper is a great way to make the evo's *** not look like Jenifer Lopez ...

Hi guys
i need some help

i just got a EVO7 JDM bumper going to be put on my US EVO8
the body shop is now painting it, but they won't agree to install it on my car if REAR CRASH BEAM removal is required

how bad is it to get rear ended without a rear crash beam??
if i still decide to install the EVO7 bumper and remove the crash beam (most likely since the bumper is getting painted), can anyone go thru a quick explain on how to remove the crash beam and remove/install the bumper??

i think i''ll have to DIY if the bodyshop won't do it

thanks a lot!!

I will tell you my experience of removing the crash beam.......I had a 240sx Silvia conversion.....I too had to remove beams to fit the front bumper on.....al was good for about 2 years and then I got into a low speed front end crash and my car was demolished......after I assesed the situation....I realized had I kept that crash beam the car would not have been totaled going only 10mph. So even though I REALLY want that EVO 7 bumper, I would have to say that I learned my lesson...
