This weekend I decided to experiment a little bit, so I went to the hobby store and got myself a can of tinting paint. Here is the result. I wish I could find a clear coat paint similar to the tinting one then I would be very happy with the result. I like the way they look, but I don't like two things. First of all they are not shiny, and when the lights are on you can see all kinds of imperfections that are implemented inside of the light and all kind of shadows. I'm 100% sure that the clear coat would give them a crisp look because when I washed the car and I sprayed the lights with water a thiny film gave them the look that I was hoping for. BTW this paint is not the permanet one so I can remove it at any time if I decide that I don't like it anymore.

I did this exact thing to my tails. It didn't look good then and, personally, it doesn't look good now, especially when you can see the imperfections. I know what you are talking about. I threw them away and bought some stockers. I am going to have AMS black the chrome out sometime.

 

there ok.but i would of just got some VII tails
