clean install looks really nice. ive been thinking for a while that that would make a great spot for something secondary (not a guage). i wonder what else could fit there

i think its an hks type 0....... i cant wait till i get mine....i want to do that as well... MyCre8n, if you would like to pm me a write up that would be awesome!

How to--turbo timer in ash tray...

Well, I've gotten a couple of PM requests (sorry guys, I lost exactly wanted these details) requesting I give a brief write-up of how I put the turbo timer in the ash tray:

Please see all the pics on previous couple of pages which show the process(page 1 shows finished product...page 2 shows the making of it)
HKS Type 0
took ash tray out and apart (lid off), cut the back of the ash tray off at the angle I wanted the turbo timer to sit. (used a dremmel with a cutting wheel, then a bench grinder to get it all flat and even)
You have to be careful that you don't cut off the joint for the lid on either side.
Ground the sides of the turbo timer off (see pics) to fit between the hinges of the lid. I had to really grind this down (as you can see) to the bare nekked circuitry to make it fit...yikes...then I taped (electrical tape) the sides.
epoxy'd the timer to the ash tray bottom.
Have to really work with the fitment so that the lid will swing over the timer and close.
