Neal@Tirerack help on finding this tire

So I got a brochure from Tire Rack last week and I see Kumho Ecsta XS tire. It looks like no other Kumho on the market. I look at Kumho's website and see nothing or even a mentioning of this tire. So Neal@Tirerack can you help me find more info on this tire that came from a brochure from your company? I'll scan a copy of that page so you can see what I'm talking about.

The XS was first shown at SEMA last year I think. It supposedly should be comparable to the Bridgestone RE01R, Dunlop Direzza Z1, Yoko Advan Neova, etc. Not due out until fall at least.

Do some searching on google, lots of forums have discussed it.

Ok here's what I found out...

The Ecsta XS is an Extreme Performance summer tire slated to replace the aging Ecsta MX. Like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, the XS will focus on dry grip, designed to compete with BS RE-01R, DU SP Sport Z1 Star Spec and Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07.

It’s still slated for an August release, per Kumho. Final sizes and pricing have not been set, so we don’t have it built in our system yet. The Inside Track listed August 2008 as the availability date, too.

Hope that helps, and stay tuned for late summer/early fall info on our site.

^^^ Thanks Neal. I'll wait to see what comes of this. I still have to find 17x9 +35 rims to mount 255-40-17 max performance street tires.
