mine is doing it in the rear over uneven surfaces, not the front. the springs are sitting in the insulator groove too.

Noise After Lowering Springs Installed

I just installed my swift sport mach lowering springs on my Evo IX MR and when I turn either direction from a stop I hear this weird "Bang" coming from the suspension area in the front. It doesn't do it all the time but it's really irritating to hear. Anyone have any idea of what it might be? I also tightened everything down to it's specific torque after I installed the springs. Any help would be great.

MR'S can get sports/ or spec r's.. not everyone wants the harsher ride that comes with the r's/

------------you didnt line up the wholes from the strut top to the strut...

I had that noise in the beginning as well, at severe slow turns at a full turn almost like a coiling, had the noise for a couple of weeks, checked everything out and it was fine, noise went away, never heard it again, that was 2+ years ago

+1 to aligning the holes. But, also, did torque everything down with the car on the ground (specifically the top nut)?

also would having the "wrong" swifts for the MR make that noise? I ordered some Spec Rs last night and there is definitely a different part # for MR vs non-MR.
