what cross drilled or slotted rotors to choose from?

first of all im still in sticker shock after shopping around for cross drilled or slotted brakes for my EVO. im proud of my brembo stockers but this is ridiculous.

why in the world are the stock replacement rotors so freaking expensive??? they are just pieces of metal! did I hear the dealer guy right when he said that they cost over $400 a piece??? My old DSM rotors were way less than $100 each.

I've run powerslots on my other cars with good luck. I've searched but what seems to be the going choice for the EVO when just going for stock sized replacements?

i've had a few friends have good luck with the TurboImport.com rotors for their DSM's. these are dimple drilled so they dont have problems cracking like regular drilled brake rotors.
http://turboimport.com/catalog/evo8.htm

so im leaning toward that route but wanted to see what else was out there first.

couldnt find much in search. does powerslot even make rotors for the EVO yet?

Sadly not yet. EBC makes a slotted/dimpled rotor, and Brembo make slotted and drilled (Not slotted/drilled on the same rotor. They make slotted or drilled). Brembo availability isn't bad, but the EBC's are hard to get your hands on.

A little search will turn up a vendor with pricing well below what you are seeing...

I just went through the same thing, buying new rotors and pads for them brembos. I ended up purchasing the front Stoptech Slotted rotors and the Project Mu Titan KAI pads. A world of difference from stock (for the better). I paid 600.00 and some change for everything, inc'l shipping.
