Just ordered a set of Toyo Proxes 4
Well last winter was very scary driving on the Advans and luckily we didn't get as much snow as the previous year. This year I'm going to be prepared for snow and cold temperatures, so after watching this board and doing my own research have decided on getting the Toyo Proxes 4
Traction AA
Temperature A
Treadware 300
ZR Rated!
Mud/Snow approved
23.6 lbs! compared to 24 for the Pirelli P/Zero or 27lbs of the Bridgeston SO3's
This sounds sweet for an all season tire. Basically a high performance tire with all season capability. Looking forward to trying these out for the cold season.

I just recently got a set of these installed on my evo. The very first thing you'll notice is how much quieter they are than the advans. The second thing will be that they aren't as sharp, but that's to be expected. I'm still messing around with tire pressure, but I am happy with them so far. They do slice through water on the road better but I might be making an unfair comparison since the advans were almost slicks by the time I put the toyos on.

Great to hear... that was reassuring to read.

I love them Toyo tires too. Yes, they are not as sharp . But If I could do it all over again, I'll get 40 series instead of the stock 45 series. This way, you have less sidewall flex. Get 235/40/17.

I could have used that 22 dollars savings and almost filled my gas tank. Oh well. Mind sharing where you found them for that price?
