which rims for winter? stock mr or rota torque's?

would like your opinion on this:

Which rims for winter and which rims for summer?

Winter - Stock MR rims with winter tires
Summer - Rota Torques with advan tires

-or-

Winter - Rota Torques rims with winter tires
Summer - Stock MR rims with advan tires

For snow country, I'd go for the cheap rims for winter. Some of those snow banks have curbs in them, and the low profile tires don't protect you much.

And when people start street parking relative to the snow, rather than the curb, it can be a problem getting around a corner without brushing a curb when there's a parked car filling the other half of the road.

The only problem I've noticed with winter rims is that if you put clean ASAs on a dirty EVO, the car really looks riced out.

I didn't read the entire post. I picked MR when I should have picked the rota's. Save the MR wheels and tires for the summer I know I would.

Use the cheaper ones for winter. You just never know what is under the snow or water on the streets. Can't avoid the potholes.
