Thumbs up Took my 05 in for brake lights

and the paperwork says upon arrival technician found brake lights only operate with excessive pedal pressure adjusted brake switch.

After having my GF stand behind my running car in reverse, (J/K) she was able to verify simultaneous brake pad bite / brake lamp illumination. Thanks dealership

i fixed it myself, the brake switch is apull type, and relatively easy to adjust w/ pliers. i pulled it 3 "clicks" if you look under @ the switch, you'll know what i mean.

Exclamation Squeaking Brakes

Ive got new brakes pads recently on my evo, two weeks later, they've started squeaking, is that because there're high performance or a build up of dirt, cold weather or all three of the above?

my 06 mr did it with about 1000 miles on the ticker took it to the dealership and they could not duplicate the problem so i went home and pulled the calipers off and used brake lube on the slides and disc brake quiet and problem stopped

Stock pads? Did you break them in properly? i.e., bed them?
I have ferodo ds2500's, and they used to SCREAM at every stop, the screeching was literally louder than my car at WOT, it was really embarassing
I finally put some copper antiseize on the backing plates and shims, bedded the brakes in a couple times, gave it a few weeks, and it barely makes a peep now.. Just every once in a while, very quietly, at slow stops, when it's very cold.

Squealling Brakes

Thanks for the posts,
its extremely cold here (-3/-5) so i guess thats the problem. The Squealling itsnt bad anymore just when you come to a stop, or lightly brake, compared to a few days ago its much - much better. I have got copper grease so will try that, and see what happens.
Thanks for the replies though.
