One way to find out. They'll probably scrub the fenderliner, though.

Their going to be taller than the stock tires by almost 1/2", if your car is stock height, you may get occasional rubbing, its going to throw your speedo off..

If you can trial fit the tires, you'll save yourself some hassle, but unfortunately many shops won't let you do that.

Don't do it man there are plenty of snow tires in 235/45/17 or 225/45/17 or 225/50/17

225/35's are too short and will throw off the speedo.

255's will fit in /40 and below with no rubbing even on lowered cars given an offset of 35 on a 9 inch wheel.

Why did you not just go with the stock size. Nokian Hakkapelitta RSi comes in a 235/45/17. That is what I have and they are absolutely amazing. But they are $$$$. More expensive than my auto-x tires.

That's a good price if they work well for your needs. Maybe I will check them out next year. The Nokians are about $220 each. I drive a lot and I drive hard, so I needed the best I could get.

Just a reminder, I work in the business and for the winter AND fuel economy whilst the winter is here, I tried this idea. I tried a set of Michelion MXV4's I had sitting around in that size. It rode like crap, looked like it and rubbed when pushed.
