ARRGGGHHHHHHHHH curbed my rim.... help?
ok, today i've had my car for exactly one year. so naturally i curb the crap out of my rear passenger rim.... anyway, i was planning on getting these rims powdercoated black so i don't REALLY care... but would this cover it? anyone know what i can do to fix this on my own? or do i need to get this fixed before i get it powdercoated? how much do you figure? it's like on a quarter to one third of the rim's edge...

I got ya beat!
Man, it can't be as bad as what I did!!!
Thursday night I pulled out of work on my rock hard (COLD) Advans and the boost kicked in before I was all the way out of the turn. Rear end lifted up and just SLID STRAIGHT INTO THE CURB, shattering part of the rim off.

hue it is no trick if you have the time..The trick is to go easy and not remove any more metal than necessary..tap down the really high gouge ridges with a body or ball peen hammer. Then, lightly dress away the roughness with a fine tooth file.. go to abrasive cloth then paper until you get down to 200 grit. Now you need to start polishing with valve compound then polishing compound. You will never know it ever happened. I have done several rims even polished ones on two of my son's MBs. You can match the stock paint on your Enkies.

Pretty much any body shop can have a rim repaired (except for seriously damaged rims like the one in the picture) these days. It's usually a mobile service that comes out and does the repair.
