Variable Ecentric Camber Bolts!
The ecentric camber bolts on the front struts of the Evo 8 only allow two levels of negative camber; about .4 degree negative or 1.5 degree negative (this is what I have measured on my 05' Evo with a camber gage). There is no in between settings due to the non-incremental design of the camber bolts. The rears have incremental settings. I have found on other cars that more than 1 degree of negative camber will cause excessive wear on the inside of the tire. I know you can "flip" the tires, but this becomes expensive and cumbersome.
I have found a "variable" camber bolt that according to the manufacturer fits our Evo's. They say that you can adjust up to 1.75 degree positive to 1.75 degree negative camber. A set (both sides; left and right) cost $47. I will install these later and will report back my findings.
