Lightest 17x8 wheel out there?

I was wondering what the lightest wheel out right now is? Our cars with the little 4g63 needs help in getting the turbo to spool and I feel a cost effective way todothis is with weight savings. If any one also knows canwe save weight with a cross drilled brake rotor swap still using the factory Brembo calipers? Finaly, what is the weight of the stock Enkei wheel, stock BBS wheel(mr). Thanks forhelping this noob on the evo scene.

but trust me with lightweight wheels, they dont have much with go-fast. a little bit according to the video. i think its worth to spend the money on maybe cams, ecu. wheels are the last thing.

I have Volk CE28's in 17 x 8.5 and they are 13.5 lbs per rim (plus they are forged=strong), so I think the buddy clubs have some competition, plus the volks are wider. If you want an even lighter rim, you can always spend some big bucks and get Volk magnesium wheels, they are super light.

Thanks for the advice. So lets say you can save 6.5lbs. vs. stock with wheel upgrade and 2 lbs. with a rotor swap, then thats 8.5 lbs. per corner of rotating weight. Seems like alot to be gained when combined with carbon hood, light weight battery, and other weight saving ideas.

Are you sure about that? The 17x7.5 CE28N weighs in at 13.8lbs and the 17x8 weighs in at 14.8.

Yeah, do some research.

Also, the carbon fiber hoods are not any lighter than your stock aluminum hood. They just look pretty.

I did do some research and my research tells me the 17x8.5's do NOT weigh 13.5lbs.

Ummm, I think you're wrong. REAL carbon fiber hoods are a bit lighter than stock. Not by much but they are. Most of the CF hoods on the market are fiberglass dipped into CF.
Also, 17x8.5 CE-28s are around 14.5lbs.
17x7.5 are 13.8lbs.
