255/40/17 on 17x8.5 +30 offset?

I've read that the 255/40/17 Toyo RA1 will fit on 17x8.5 with +40 offset (Enkei RPF1) w/out any problem.

What about 17x8.5 with +30 offset?

I'm afraid the +30 offset will move the wheels too much outboard and will require fender rolling to be able to run 255/40/17 tires.

Any thoughts? Anybody running 17x8.5 +30 offset with 255/40/17 tires?

I have 225/40/17 Pirellis on 17x8 +38 offset Enkei RPF1 and they fit no problem. Your 8.5 and 30 offset is like 3mm further out so I can't imagine it would be a problem.

Do you mean 225/40 or 255/40 with 17x8 +38 offset Enkei RPF1?
