Brembo STi and Evo stock calipers

Is it possible to switch Evo and STi stock calipers?

They look like the same, but they might be different.

I know they use the same pad except a 1mm thicker pad fits on the Evo, so if you're in a tight spot a STI pad will do. As far as mounting a caliper, I have no idea.

STi uses a slightly larger rotor so I would hazard a guess and say that it is 2mm thicker then the Evo rotor which would explain the 1mm pad thickness deal... Again this is a guess and assumes that mayhem is correct.

EVO calipers are larger than STI. Mounting bolt span is 185MM for EVO to 180MM for STI. Brackets would need to be made.

That's a bummer because the Evo owners are getting ripped on some pad life. I learned this from raceshopper.com One of the guys there knew I needed some Ferodo 3000s in a hurry so he offered the STI pad, but mentioned it was 1mm thinner. Hey considering how thin pads are 1mm is significant. At least to me.
