Definitive weight of 17x9 FN01R-C
I bought a set of flat black 5zigen FN01R-C, 17x9 35 mm offset rims from Z1 and weighed one on my ISO-certified lab scale (I'm a university professor). It weighed 19.68 pounds. This is bare - without a valve, center-cap or balancing weights on it. I have to admit, I'm a bit dissapointed. I thought they were lighter. When I get a chance, I'll weigh all four of them and see how much they vary.

Not exactly what you where looking for but I weighed mine yesterday.
The stock Enkies with stock Advans, balance weights, stem center cap weigh 44.9lbs
Afterall, its the whole package that matters.

i'd also like the certified sclae reading on the stockers, the 5zigens have been mythed to be very light, they are for their size... they're 1 inch thicker at the rim than the stockers and they do weight approximately less than the stockers still. so... with that aside i don't think anyone should be TOO dissapointed especcially for the price paid.

If you would have got the Forged instead of Cast it would have been around 14-15lbs.. but you would have paid 2-4x more a rim
It's still lighter than stock and a good looking rim

that is tru but that is the price you pay for wider rubber... you don't see anyone on bicycle wheels just to save rotating mass. inertia can be overcome with power... nothing can replace grip. plus it also gives you more inertia at higher speeds so you can get better freeway gas mileage... i know dumb benefit.

And I don't think they make a 8.5 wide rim.

they make a 9.5 so i don't see why they wouldn't have a half size for 8 also.

I just got mine from FedEx today. FNO1RC in bronze 17 x 9 +35 offset. Pulled it straight out of the box and walked to the super accurate scale I have. Weighs in at 19.2 lbs. This is the bare wheel alone. Not too shabby for a wheel that is 9" wide. Cant wait to get them mounted.
BTW, thanks to Aspec for the killer deal. I also got the Muteki closed end lug nuts, that weigh in at 36 grams a picee (weight from the box). That is 1.2 oz. Aspec includes the lug nuts for $20 with a wheel purchase.
Dont know what the stock lug nuts weigh. I will find out when I get these mounted.
