Rota Torque 17x8 hub size - need hub rings?

I heard the Rota Torques 17x8 5x114.3 fit on the Evo. I was wondering though, since the Evo hub bore is 67.1mm, and the Torques come in 73mm, do I need hub rings for it to fit?

If you visit the Mach V Motorsports site they are selling the Hub-Centric Adapters with the Rota Torques. However I called Subydude and they did't know if they were required. Any one else want to chime-in?

Since the Evo hub bore is 67.1mm, and the Torque wheel hub is 73mm, you should have a ring in there. You can install the wheels without rings, but then they'll only be lug-centric, not hubcentric.

It would be a nice option to have those rings, but in reality the wheels center very well with just the lug nuts..... I had a set of those myself and 4 other guys got them from me and installed them without the rings and had no problems.

I just ordered some from Mach V. I figure they can only help and they're only $20 plus shipping.

For $20 they are definitely a nice option and a good thing to have.

My torques from subydude came with rings...they didn't fit, so tossed them in the garbage. the shop that put my rims on put these super thin rings on. today was the first time i rotated my tires. the wheels would not come off. it was a struggle with a bar to pry my rims off without scratching my rims...so i don't really think you need them.

I bet they were plastic centering rings. Try aluminum from 1010tire.com
