Question Question about wheel spacers

Right now I am using 6mm spacer with the factory wheel studs in order to get the clearence I need for my rims. My question is do I need to change the wheel studs for longer ones or will my current setup be ok???????

H&R strongly recommends longer studs for spacers 5mm and bigger. We're u able to thread the entire lug nut over the stock threads...from a safety view point i would definitely recommend it.

wow.. that's a huge spacer to use on the stock lugs... I am nervous using a 3mm spacer for my application.
