What are those supposed to point towards, the direction the wheel turns aka up? I'm just wondering because the dealer reinstalled my pads after turning my rotors and there is alot of squeeking and sounds like grinding. I took out the pads, applied grease and reinstalled as before, but just wondering how those arrows should point.

Its the direction the wheel rolls. Make sure you use the gunk on top of the shims or you'll have a bad squeaking problem.

 

So the front arrow would point up? Correct?
