Doesn't it make sense to order the Model 0106-7 Ford Kit w/ 3 Prong Adapter instead of the Model 0101 Universal Kit with the 1107 Custom Ford 3 Prong Adapter? Has anyone done this? Seems like it would save some money.

Everyone should order the Model 0107 Ford 3 Prong Kit. No need to buy the seperate adapter, as it already comes with it.

you can just get the 3 prong ford one if you're only doing evos. otherwise you'd need a universal.

true but look it from the other way. you can get the 3 prong ford for you evo (and maybe if you have a ford it will fit) and then get the universal or some other cap if you need to do a different car.

personally i only plan on doing my evo with this as of now. i may pick up a cap for a different car in the future if i ever get one.

that's why you make a dual bleeding catch can like the one i made in the how to section. and then if you don't want spills you get one of those restrictor pills and plug both lines together.

I bled mine yesterday with the motive power bleeder.. Everything went smooth... the cap didnt want to go on at first but it finally went on... I used ALOT more fluid than i had expected.. almost 3 bottles of Motul... I had a lot of tiny air bubbles come out of the back brakes which took a lot of fluid before they finally stopped.

how long did it take you and how come you used so much fluid? the system only needs one liter. i got two just incase, but 3?! or were your bottles smaller?

I have no idea... I bled and bled and bled until the small air bubbles went away. The bottles were .5 liter.
