Azenis rt615 245/45 or 255/40?
I ordered the 245/45 Falkens on 17X9" FN01R-C's the other day. I got them in today. I think the sidewall is a bit tall. Has anyone noticed a loss in cornering with a 245/45 vs. a 255/40 on a 9" wide rim? Just in case anyone was wondering, these are really heavy tires. I have read that they are 27.1lbs in the 245/45 and 26.5lbs for the 255/40's. I took my old 17X9" FN01R-C rim w/ half treaded 235/45 stock tires and it weighed in at 43.2lbs. I then weighed my new rim with the Azenis tire on it and it was 48.8lbs . I bought the most expensive digital scale I could find today so I could weigh them. It was dead on for me at 212lbs so I think it is accurate. I mounted them up and they look funny with all that sidewall. I want to know if I should drive on them or replace them with the 255/40's?
Thanks for any input guys!

seems like all of falken tires are hefty.
the size you have is a taller sidewall...does it look taller? not really. gruppe-s suggestion was a good size for the width of your rim.
