Anyone ever run Hankook Ventus K-104 Tires?

I am looking at getting some wheels & tires for daily driving & then some dedicated track tires put on my stock rims. I want a better wearing tire for the daily commute in a wide size so I don't lose TOO much traction. So, I was thinking of getting the Hankook Ventus K-104 in 265/35/18 on a 18x9.5 wheel. Anyone have any experience with these tires? They have the same treadwear rating (280) and a similar tread pattern to the Toyo Proxes T1-S which is an option I've been looking at as well, but if the K-104's perform as well as the T1-S for cheaper I'm getting them.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Go ahead and think that, I guarantee my $160 Falken Azenis Sport RT-615s will outperform tires that cost $100/corner more.

I was looking more for first hand experience, not people that prefer getting ripped off.

Thanks though!

I have heard good things about this tire at the Subaru community but haven't heard anything from other users.

I have these tires...they're pretty decent imo. I think they make pretty good daily driving tires without sacrificing too much performance. Good tires for the money.

yeah i had them on when i purchased the car.. they suck, why not just get the rs2s which are advan neova rips.. these tires are awesome! they were great for autox.. very grippy. I have 245/45/17s on hotchks springs with no rubbing issues. They are only 120 a tire from american tire company installed.

I'm sure the RS2 is a great grippy tire, but I already have a 200 treadwear tire that I like in the Falken Azenis Sport RT-615 in 255/40/17. I'm looking to get some Yokohama A032R to put on my stock rims for auto-x and track use, and something else in probably a 265/35/18 (on a different wheel of course) for my daily commute. Something with at least 280 treadwear rating like Toyo Proxes T1-S or T1-R. For a dual-purpose street/track I would agree the RS2 is a viable option, but I'm looking for separate street & track tires. That's why I am looking at the K104s.

When you say they sucked, was this at a stock size? And did they suck for daily driving or just at auto-x events and such?

Thanks,
