I have had HRE's on my past 2 cars and lose my A$$ every time I have to sell them. What companies make a good forged 2 or 3 piece wheels +/- $500?

SSR makes several, Competition and GT7 can be had in 2 piece forged apps for about 500 per corner. Lightweight and strong too. Tirerack stocks them, though you can order different fitments if you want to move up to a wider setup than they recommend.

none of the wheels mentioned yet are all forged though. SSR are not forged at all - they are cast, but use a technique that is very similar to what Enkei/Advan use - alows a really light, really strong wheel, that is priced a bit more than cast but generally less than full forged
most 2 piece wheels on the market use cast centers and forged lip(s) - this allows the maker to simply cast centers for multiple wheel sizes, and simply alter the outer lip to achieve the desired size
what sort of look are you going for?

I think Work Meister S1 2-piece in 18" are forged (but 19" and up are cast). I got to put one of the scale (18x9.5") and it was only 22 lbs which is not bad for a multi-piece wheel. They cost a little more than $500 a wheel though.
