which brake pads for street use?

My pads are fine now but when the stocks pads do go I want to make sure I know which ones to buy. Are there any pads besides the stock ones that will work just as good if not better for street use and cheaper in price? I dont want brakes that squeak btw.

Thanks

The project Mu NS work great. Make sure you save your shims from the oem pads when changing them.

EBC and Hawk Pads are good choices I believe? I had EBC's on my turbo crx and they worked great, and my friend has oe brembo replacement rotors with hawk pads on his 1G DSM and he is running 12's @ 125mph and it stops great...So those are a couple choices to look at?

Do these pads squeek at all since they are more of a racing type pad?

I have Hawk HPS for the street, no noise and very little dust.

+1, there's a group buy right now for $135 for both front and rear. if you can jump on it, it's an awesome deal.

Project Mu NS is the equivalent in performance.

Ferodo DS2500 is a bit aggressive and many use it for the track...so I'll caution you on this pad, b/c it may be too much what you're looking for.

good luck in your search. I prefer HPS for the street, and I'll use DS2500 on the track.

We like to use the DS2500 they are a great pad for street and track. The dusted less then the stockers with TONS better stopping power and staying power.

Also you can get a sweet deal on them through us in the Vendor for sale section.

I really like the Endless SS-S pads. Great street and occaisional track pad. Dust less than stock pads as well
+1 for saving the stock pad shims (they stick to the back of the pad). These pads definitely need them

I have Endless SSS pads on mine and I use it for street and track sometimes. The next set of pads will be something more aggressive like the CCX. Porterfield R4S is great also. From my personal experience, tt is really hard to get something that works well for both track and street.

Another pad is the Performance Friction pad for the Evo. Not quite enough pad for me at the track, but I'm planning on using it for my street pads. $140 for the fronts. Pretty damn good price.
