With a +28mm offset on a 17x9 wheel, you may have to roll the rear fenders w/ 255 tires. I barely, I mean barely, clear my rear fenders w/ 255/40-17 tires on 17x9 +35mm tires. A 28mm offset will make the wheels stick out 7mm more. I am lowered on coilovers though w/ a one finger gap between my wheel and fender.

It will depend on the tire that you run. With a Micheline Piolot Sport Cup tire (this tire is wide for a 255/40/17), I needed to roll the rear fenders for a 17X9 with 35 offset. As per above, the 29 offset will shift this out 6mm (35-29=6) and would make the rub worse.

So, depends on actual cross section of tire (assuming that the wheel vendors have measured offset properly).

Good luck.

Thanks for mentioning tire-to-tire size variation. I'm running Toyo RA1s on my car BTW.
