what type of suspension do you have, being that its an inch wider on each wheel you might need a little help with clearance.

Should be no problem 18x9 +29 fits fine for the people using the Advan RG-2. the 17" should have no problems if you use a 255 or less tire.

correct - stock tires can work, but the whole point in doing a wide wheel is to fit the wide tire

So is better or worse for fitment if I'm on stock sus. or on coilovers?

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead. I never got a conclusive answer, hopefully the stars will align this time.

How will the offset affect handling?

it will widen your track and improve your lateral roll center.

also a stretched tire is good for clearence in case you didn't already know.

also more rubber will be good for handling HAHA

about your question on stock sus and coilovers tho. stock sus is high, therefore will give you lots of clearence. this is good for not rubbing unless you hit something real hard. coilovers however will give you camber... this is good for clearence EVEN when you're lowered.

in extreme circumstances offset can affect your wheel movement... if you have a 10 offset on a 8" wheel you'll see that is a ridiculous shape and also see that your wheel moves more when you turn as in you created a lever arm of sorts on the wheel... this is hard on power steering and is also no good for trying to turn at a stop. this will also affect how your wheel well clearences pan out.

all this of course requires a final fit to determine, you gotta try 'em on, or wiat til someone does.

if you plan on lowering your evo, you might have to roll the fenders too.
