Rear control arm ball-joint boots busted
While doing a suspension cleaning/inspection, I noticed that both rear control arm ball joint boots are busted. You have to replace the WHOLE control arm to replace the ball joint. What a crook of poo!
Should I freak out and replace them immediatly? Has anyone else had this problem?
Yes... I searched and didn't find any thing.

if it's like the 2g eclipses, you can buy the ball joint from napa seperately.
If Mitsubishi still hasn't figured out a way to manufacture a simple flippin oil cap that doesn't have the gasket harden up in 6 months and leak oil all over the damn engine, I'm certainly not surprised that a part as similarly straightforward as a ball joint eludes their grasp.
On the other hand, they managed to get most other aspects of the car spot on. So that leads me to believe they put somebody's retarded cousin who graduated with a C- from Nihon University in charge of the rather mundane small parts on the car as a favor between sake buddies. Little did they know this was the type of superstar that could f- up a cup of coffee....
Thank you
