Tough one, if you really intend to be competitive in the AutoX/RallX scene, you need sticky rubber, but you don't want to just drive around on those. Sounds like you really need a second set of wheels that you can mount track tires on.

If you're ok with not being so competitive, maybe something like the BFG G-Force line (around $100/tire) or Falken Azenis RT-615 (around $150/tire) The Falkens are awesome dry performers, but they don't last long and do not evacuate water well.

Well yes and no. If the road is just damp, they work great. If there is ANY standing water, the tire tries to hydroplane up onto the water and you will spinout very easily. (it's almost like running slicks but not quite that bad)

Hi guys, I have a quick noob question. I was told by a guy a discount tire a while back before i got the evo that you can't just replace one tire on an awd car, you have to replace all of them at once. He said it will do some damage to your car. Is there any fact to this statemant? I am asking becausei just noticed a rather thick nail in one of my tires.

Nah, you just don't want to run different sizes across the limited slip axles, (left to right) it'll make the clutches work even going straight and will put excess wear on the unit. If the tires are the same brand/size, and one tire is really worn, and the other is brand new, they will be slightly different diameters overall, but hardly enough to hurt anything. If your tires are closer to new, there will be almost no difference in diameter...even better.
