Think you might have to roll your fenders though.

I just received my 18 x 9.5 gram lights T57-RC, +38 offset. I ran into clearance problems up front with the 255/40 Falken RT-615 rubbing against the coilover spring at the ride height it was set at. I now have a 10mm spacer up front and ride height is at maximum. Rear wheels were not rubbing anywhere when ride height was at minimum, but the tire was extremely close to the fender. Next week I'll be receiving a set of 245/40's for alittle more clearance, especialy up front. the 245's are 10mm thinner than the 255's which should alow me to lower the car back to where I wanted it with the spacer up front. Hope this helps.

oh i'm just being facetious. but personally i'll only consider r compounds and select few max performance summer tires.

I don't know where to find the OEM type lugs to accept a longer stud, I would love to keep mine, but I may sell them to make room and make my 17x9's the daily wheel/tire.

Evolutionary,
How much fender rolling did you have to do in the rear? Was it a simple roll (tucking in the lip), or did you need to "pull" the fenders out too? what kind of rear camber are you running? I assume it's gotta be in the -1.5 to -2.0 range.
Any rolling required up front?
John

I think the design of the rim you have to take into consideration also. You may have the right offset but if the design is not right, it will hit the Brembos. I think it was the AMS (not sure) Evo(the one with the candy orange paint job) took out the Brembos to fit a certain rim. I think 9" is wide enough so you won't hit the springs.
