sears tire center
just last week i bought falken azenis rt615 there. for some reason, i was convinced by a fellow evo owner that 255/40/18's would fit in my car without any rubbing issues. BTW, i have ce28n's with +30 offset and the car is lowered with hotchkis springs. usually i do alot of research but in this instance i did not.
so it goes, tires were installed and as soon as i hit a little bump, my rear tires were hitting the fender. i went back to Sears the next day and explained to them my problem. the manager said he will gladly take care of me.i told him that i am gonna try rolling the fenders first before we try replacing the tires.
after a week, got my fenders rolled but they were still hitting, noticed a slice in the upper portion of my left rear tire . i went to Sears and after 2 days they replaced my tires with 245's without any charges eventhough i was the one who chose the wide tires.
so i guess it pays off to go to a big company when purchasing stuff for our cars.

that's a great story...it would never happen here though lol sears tire center here is like the real life Popcopy (from dave chapelle show). here they won't even touch aftermarket wheels anymore, won't do any work on modified vehicles, overcharge for everthing, ESPECIALLY tires...i'd rather pay tyrone biggums to do my work than go to sears. i wish sears was like that here. how do you like the RT615's? i've got an 06 IX MR and i'll probably be getting those tires when i replace the wheels. my brother just got those tires on his lancer ralliart, but hasn't driven on them yet (just got'em today)

well everybody that i talked to were shocked with what the service manager did.
i wasnt really able to drive em hard as it rubs the rear fenders anytime i turn hard or accelerate...

I used to work at a Sears as a salesman. I must say that the manager there was in NO WAY obligated to get you new tires. But unlike most small tire shops, Sears has the ability to do this type of thing for their customers. Don't dismiss Sears as a viable shop to do repair or tire replacement work for you.
As a side note, every tire guy I've worked with would always take extra care while working on a nice vehicle, whether it was a Vette or Evo to a Hummer or Escalade. They treated the vehicle like it was there own!!
