repair scrape to rim before powder coat?

repair scrape to rim before powder coat?

I have a stock wheel that i need to repair before i have it powder coated, what is the recomended method? weld alluminum to the area and sand down?

i doubt the bondo will survive the heat of powder coating, any other ideas?

how bad is the scuff??? PC is some thick stuff. Most cosmetic scuffs usually cover pretty well with PC.

I sanded my scuff marks down before I had them PC, and will do the same with my other set of stockers. Painting them Gunmetal metallic, and the other set White.

do a google search for hi temperature lab metal. It is an epoxy like JB Weld but for much higher temperatures.
Body fillers will most likely not withstand PC bake temps.

edit: actually it's single part, not an epoxy:

I would ask your PCer; maybe JB Weld will work?
