Why did you get a nomal lancer rack??
Wouldn't that take away the Evos quick steering ??

got it at the junk yard for like 50 bucks. I haven't really driven the car at all since i had to go out of town. the parts looked identical so i think it will be same once i get it aligned. if it doesn't work for me i could always just get another rack since the install isn't that hard.

i believe the steering ratio is different.....meaning you will slow your steering and the evos sporty feel with the new lancer rack.

I am considering the RC5's this year but the RPF1'a are tuough to beat and so light. Virtually indestructable from what I have read. The RC5's look meaner though I had them on my Boxster. Lot's of pic's of those if you want to see them. The only caveat, they are like $400 ea.

the steering is a little slower and little smoother. It can turn tighter than before as in uturns etc.. I am sending the broken rack to get fixed so if the new rack doesn't work out for me I'll just put the old one back on.
