Falken RT-615

Has anyone used a set of these tires before? They list for 40% of the Advans cost per tire. Like everyone else, I'm looking for the cost effective replacement of the almighty Advan.

i've ridden in a car with those tires on, and felt very nice compared to the it's older brother (the RT215). Turn in felt crisp, high speed grip was good, and just felt sturdy and planted to the ground. This was in a 1st gen MR2 with every corner built up.

I've heard lots of good things about the tires but I have not personally experienced them on an Evo so other people can fill you in there..but I think you won't be disappointed, pricewise and performance wise.

I've got them on order in 255/40/17. I've read mixed reveiws, but for a street tire they should be very good. I've also read that they get greasy on the track during a 30 minute session of hot laps, so if you are not going to the track(or have track tires), they should be fine.

TXEVO, you running stock rims with tires on order? I know the OEM tire is a 235/45-17. Are there any problems fitting and/or tire performance?

've been running these for almost a year now. I have no complaints whatsoever. 235/40R18 on 18 X 8.5 and now 255/40R18 on 18 X 9.5.

I ran them all this past year. Spring, summer and fall - about 25000 miles of hard street driving. Also includes >40 autocross runs and 60 drag launches. They held up beautifully.

I was running a 275/40/17 on a 17x9 wheel. The amount of grip available is amazing. I highly recommend.

For Sale

Just wanted to let u guys know that I have a set of 225/45/x18 Falken Azenus RT615 Tires on a set of VOLK LE37's which are Gold with a Polished Lip. These tires and rims have had exactly 15 miles driven on them. They are the rims that are on my Blue Evo. They are not the TE37 but the LE37. These are one of the lightest rims Mackin Industry makes. These rims are 18x8.5 so they put some tread down to the ground. I paid $3500.00 for the set i will sell them for 2900.00 OBO. Give me a call at (702)-290-7676

I have run these the old azeni sports and a plethora of other race tires. I personally liked the old azeni sports a little better. These were not a bad tire at all thugh, espcially for the price. I used to run them at auto-x and they laste a lot longer than I expected. They don't have asstron of sid walls as I would have liked bt still they ae a decent deal. It is lso nice tht they are making themin amny different izes for everyone.

As far as the strong sidewall goes, I did find that I have to run them at a pretty high pressure for best performance. I was running about 38psi front and 40 psi rear both on the street and on the track. I feel this helped with their longevity also.

I had the Azenis sports on my accord and they were great. i'm planning on getting the 615's when i order my RG II's for the EVO. my brother has the 615's on his Lancer RA, and they turned it into a new car. they grip like whoa, they feel better than the stock EVO advans and last longer.

^ they last ALOT longer, and they cost about $100 less for an equivalent size. I just wish they would come out with a 285/30/18 so I can run them again this year.
