Bad Brakes, What should I do?

I think my Brakes are going bad. They have been squeeking a couple times lately and also when I slow down at the end of my street where the stop sign is it sounds like it's grinding. Do I need new Brakes? If so, what is the cheapest way to replace them? Should I go to the dealership and just get new pads/rotors? Or should I put on some kind of aftermarket pads/rotors? I don't know if it's my pads that are just bad or if it's my pads and my rotors. Does anyone know how much this is going to cost me if I go to the dealership to get it done? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Donovan

It seems like your pads are going bad. Just change the pads, you can get alot of aftermarket pads for much cheaper. Satisfied and Hawk HPS are a few brands that come to mind.

I've only had the car for about 2 months now so I guess whoever had it b4 me didn't ever change them. the car is at about 20k miles now. Can I purchase aftermarket pads and get the dealer to put them on? or will they only put on oem pads?
