Falken Azenis St115
I am going to try the Falken Azenis St115 for my track tire. At EdgeRacing.com they are only $88 each.
I hope they live up to the daily summer driving and the high speed I will throw at them.

I've always used high performance summer tires but my local tire store (Les Schwab) didn't have any t1's in stock last time I needed tires. He did have some Proxy 4s and he offered me a good deal. $600 mounted, balanced with warranty and if I didn't like them I could bring them back and he would credit me towards something else.
I was fully expecting to be disappointed but I've actually liked them. They're great in wet, Ok in snow and pretty good in dry. I go through tires fast (5000 miles on the stock advans) and these appear to be wearing really well. For the price I'm stoked.

Tires - What to get?
I have the Toyo proxies 4 on my car right now and they are not that bad at all. I was going to get another set for strict summer tires but the weight is something that is important to me.
http://www.edgeracing.com/2003/Mitsu...tion/tires/17/
Falken Azenis St115 are good for wear and grip but they seem a little bit heavy at 26.8 pounds each compared to the Falken Ziex Ze 512 at 22.7 ponds each.
One is UHP and the other is UHPAS. My proxies are the UHPAS and I am looking for a strict summer tire next.
I have three sets of rims: Full Winter, Summer and All seasons. The Advins are great for grip but poor for wear and toe in if not rotated every 4K miles.
Let me know if you have any questions.

the ST115 is good for a daily driver tire - it is quiet and rides comfortably but lacks the grip of a lot of max performance tires. If you're looking for a awesome summer tire, check out the RT615. The reason one tire may weigh more than another is the extra reinforcement to stiffen the sidewalls and make it handle good.

Es 100
What about the Yokohama ES 100 for a great summer tire that will last longer than the stock ones and out perform the Falkens?
Town Fair Tire quotes me $^94 out the door for 4 installed. The price per tire was like $147.
I think I can get them down to about $120 per tire.

I understand where you're coming from, it's not normal. This road is like 10 miles on the most insane race track everytime I cross it, and that's about 6-8 times a week.
The pair of Proxes 4's that I mounted on the front 26 days ago are starting to show cord on the inside and slick all the way across. (I run 2.5 degrees of negative camber, +.5 inch toe on the front)
It's the same way on bikes. All of the locals go through tires at a crazy rate...about 1 set a month. I've gone through a set of tires on my 600 in as little as 2 weekends.

What to get?
Boy, just when I am set to get the tires I get other feedback to make me keep looking.
Right now I have my Advans on which are worn on the right inside of the tire. I will wait till it gets bad before putting on other tires.
Or I can use my Toyo Proxies 4 for the mean time.
Now I might go with the S-03 pole position.
